Treatment

In A.C.Camargo Cancer Center, each patient is evaluated in an integral and individualized way by a multidisciplinary team of specialists. According to the particular characteristics of each patient and protocols based on scientific evidence, the therapeutic conducts to be followed are defined. These include surgical options, systemic treatments (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormone therapy), radiation therapy and complementary procedures.

In 2016, more than 3.8 million attendances were carried out, including clinic visits, diagnostic tests, surgeries, chemotherapy sessions and radiation therapy. In the outpatient sector alone the institution carried out 2,299,326 attendances for SUS users (60.6%) and 1,493,886 attendances for other users (39.4%).
